Certified by ISO 9001:2000, the company also works with national standards, namely ABNT PETROBRAS and International standards, namely ASME, AWS, DIN, EN, among others. The quality standards are referred to throughout all production stages, from the raw material purchase to the end product delivery. Maquinas Piratininga quality inspection uses high-tech, high-precision instruments such as Easy-Laser, digital UT equipment and automatic levels.

Process Stage gates and are defined during the planning stages. Before production start, the quality assurance department drafts an inspection & test plan that is submitted to the customer for approval. This document schedules all in process inspections as to reduce to a minimum the final inspection. The steel’s chemical analysis and mechanical analysis certificates are requested upon purchase of raw materials, and all documentation is submitted to the quality control department for approval. Both suppliers and partners are constantly audited, thus ensuring the overall control on the product quality. Maquinas Piratininga has qualified NDT inspectors for visual weld inspection, ultra sonic test (UT), dye penetrant test (PT) and magnetic particles test (MT). The entire documentation, the material certificates and the test reports are prepared in a technical book that certifies the quality and reliability of the Maquinas Piratininga brand.
